HOUSE AT

LAKES ENTRACE 2002-2006

Designed for a retired couple with a large extended family. The site steeply slopes towards the sea view to the south, the house was designed to be as flexible as possible.

The building has been arranged  with  separate pavilions, with a garage, guest, with the largest containing the living spaces facing towards the views. This is unified with an open foyer and sundeck spaces facing the north.

The saw tooth roof and courtyards have been incorporated to allow the northern light penetrate. Whilst allowing the sea views to the south dominate. The brief called for as little plasterboard as possible, with plywood lined ceilings, recycled timber floors and stone walls throughout provided and nature warm and inviting spaces.
